On Saturday April 9th 2022 a Celebration of Life was held for Michael Schultz. Mike was a former Az Ranger as well as the former President of the Blue Knights AZIX Chapter in Tucson. His Celebration of Life was held on Saturday April 9th in Sahuarita. One of our former presidents, Jim K., spoke at Mike’s Services. Here are a few pictures of the event.
On Saturday April 9th we had our monthly breakfast Ride. This month we traveled to Green Valley and went to the Patriot Grill which was formally the Old Chicago Deli. In attendance was Robi & Bear C., Susan W. & Alan S., Jim K., Bruce D., Ken Mc., Steve E., Terry A, Chris D. and I know I’m missing one more person. It was a good turnout for a morning breakfast. After breakfast some of the members went to the Celebration of Life for Mike Schultz. Here are a few pictures from Saturday’s breakfast.
After a short break with our monthly breakfast rides we resumed our monthly ride on Saturday March 12th. This month we met at Lazy Days on Campbell Ave. Those in attendance were: Patrick, John, Alan & Susan, Jim, Ken, Rev & Antje, and yours truly. A great time was had by all with lots of conversation. On Saturday 12/11 we had our monthly breakfast ride. This month we went to KG’s Westside Café on Grant Road. Those who made the chilly morning ride were: Rev, Ken, Jim, Bruce, Chris, his friend Brett, my friend Jude, and yours truly. Here are a couple pictures from breakfast:
On Saturday November 13 we had our first breakfast ride in months since COVID. We met at the Happy Rooster on Sarnoff Rd. Eight members and friends of the Blue Knights met and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast along with some friendly banter amongst ourselves. Those who made the ride were T., Ken, Steve, Chris, “Rev”, Alan, Susan and Ron.
On Saturday 10/30 Rev, Ken, and yours truly participated in the final leg of the SALEF/Halloween ride in Tucson. Riders were encouraged to dress up in Halloween Costumes. There were over 200 entries in todays ride. The ride started at the Marana PD, then Flightline Grill Pinal Airpark, Pima County Sheriff’s Office Sandario Rd., Richie’s Café Ryan Airfield, Bianchi’s Café, and ending @ Tucson Harley Davidson for entertainment and lunch. The ride was about 90 miles in length. The Rev even won a gallon of Captain Morgan in the silent auction bid. Below are some pictures of today’s ride.

A few of us got together yesterday and rode with the Arizona Fallen Heroes Memorial Rides, honoring those first responders fallen in the metro Tucson area. This group is one of three rides that came together at one location. These included TPD, DPS, Blue Knights (Terry A, Robert P, and yours truly), American Legion Riders, as well as many other concerned individuals.
Our stops included seven DPS Memorials in the area with services presided by DPS Chaplains at each Memorial.
Other stops included the Tucson Police and Tucson Fire Departments Memorials where DPS Chaplains presided over services for the fallen for those respective agencies.
At the conclusion of the day, all three ride groups met for a final service and BBQ @ Tucson Harley.
The final 2021 rides for Arizona Fallen Heroes Memorial Rides will be in the Phoenix area November 6th. All money made on these nine rides will benefit the 100 CLUB. It’s not too late to register for the Phoenix rides at AZFHMR.ORG. Well after a LONG hiatus with COVID, etc., BKAZIX restarted our monthly breakfast rides. This month we went to Sunny Daze on Campbell. And to start the new riding season off we were met @ Sunny Daze with the Life Squad. Apparently a patron had an issue and had to be taken to the hospital. But enough of that.
So the members who made the ride were: Robi, Alan & Susan, Jim, Terry, Steve, Scott, and yours truly. We had a great breakfast and some good conversation was had after this long break. Here are a few pictures along with a few of the bikes. Alan and Susan are riding 2021 BMW’s. SWEET rides.
