The MIAP Veterans Recovery Program is having an Internment with Honors Ceremony on Saturday March 28th. The Muster time is at Adair Funeral Homer 1050 N. Dodge Blvd in Tucson. From there they will depart to 2095 N. Hwy 90, Huachuca City. Ultimately it will end at the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1300 Buffalo Soldier Trail in Sierra Vista.

The American Legion Post 24 is having the Annual Brian Terry Memorial Ride IV in honor of BPA Alexander Giannini on Saturday April 18th. Ride starts and ends at the American Legion Post 24 , 225 E. Allen Street Tombstone. Registration is from 9:30 – 11:00. Lead group out at 10:30. Meal begin @ 2:00 pm.
Presented by Missing in America Project. We respectfully request all Veteran groups and patriotic individuals, to be part of Interment with Honors of 12 indigent & homeless Veterans, and one Spouse. These Veterans served in the: U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy and the Air Force. We will be escorting from Tucson to SAVMC in Sierra Vista.

The ride starts at Tucson Harley-Davidson, 7355 N I-10 EB Frontage Road in Tucson. Registration begins at 10:00 am. The ride fee is $20.00 for the rider and $5.00 for a passenger. Extra cards are $5.00. Ride pins will be given to the first 300 riders. The ride ends in Vail with live music, food, 50/50 drawing, door prizes, vendors and more. $250.00 will be awarded for the high hand, and $150.00 for the low hand. A Memorial Ride was held for Watash on May 4th starting at Golf Links and Craycroft parking lot. An Honor Guard presented the colors. There were many friends and family who attended. Here are some of the riders; Stone Sober Riders, Bear and Robi, Mike and Patti Davis, Robbin and Brigitte Belknap, Jim Simmons, Kelley Holcomb, Richard and JoAnn Johnson, Ray Rigel, Ron Gogas and Lee Campbell from American Legion Post 131, C.O.B.B., Watash Angels Monk, Terri, Donna, Kit Kat, Shanie, Gloria, Betsy, Wendy, Mom-Gail, Dr. Julie,Ms. Judy and Deborah, Christians for Christ, Bikers for Christ, Arivaca friends, PCSO, Adult Probation, PGR, the Blue Knights AZ IX members Bill REV Calkins, Norm Nestlerode, Frank Brunetti, Stan Thibaut, Bob & Rusty Ness, Pat Shely, former member Tony Sanell, Watash’s friend Shelly Gowin, two of the nurses from Hospice, and many other friends too numerous to mention. Also there were many friends who could not make the ride but called with their condolences. There were over 56 motorcycles and 9 cages who started out from Craycroft and Golf Links parking lot for our first stop at the Longhorn in Arivaca. Our next stop was the Marley Cattle Company. From there we went on to the Gadsen Coffee House in Arivaca for a break and more remembrance. Finally we went to the Community Center in Arivaca for our final stop and remembrance of Watash. Here we planted a small bush in Watash’s name and spread some more of his ashes along with a concrete block with Watash’s name in glass stones. After the ceremony we had food and refreshments along with some videos of Watash. Watash was a prolific photographer who took hundreds and hundreds of pictures of his friends. There were piles and piles for his friends to pick and choose some so they could remember him for many years to come.
